Air Terjun Situmurun is a tourist attraction located in Situmurun Village, Lumban Julu District, Toba Regency, North Sumatra. This waterfall has a height of approximately 70 meters and consists of seven levels. This waterfall is also known as Binangalom, which was given by the local community.
What is interesting about Air Terjun Situmurun is that its water flows directly into the waters of Lake Toba. Imagine how beautiful it is to see a waterfall that falls directly into this super wide lake.
Given its location on the edge of the lake, you need to take a boat to get close to this waterfall. To reach this waterfall, tourists can take a boat from the Public Open Space (RTP) with a journey of approximately 1.5 hours.
There are several things you can do when visiting this beautiful waterfall. These include swimming, boating, going around the lake, taking pictures, and fishing. Fortunately, visitors can swim when the boat approaches the waterfall. However, for safety reasons, you are not advised to swim too close to where the water falls.

The easiest way to get to Air Terjun Situmurun is by car or motorcycle. The journey from Balige, the capital of Toba Regency, takes around 1 hour. You can also take a public bus from Balige to Lumban Julu District. The bus ride takes around 1.5 hours.

The entrance fee to Air Terjun Situmurun is Rp 5,000 per person.
