Ajibata Port: The Main Gateway to Samosir Island
Important Role:
Ajibata Port plays a crucial role in facilitating the mobility of people around Lake Toba, especially for those who want to cross the lake to Samosir Island.
Facilities:
The port has a traditional pier for wooden boats owned by locals and a ferry pier serving the Ajibata-Tomok and Ajibata-Ambarita routes on Samosir Island.
Inauguration:
Ajibata Port was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on February 2, 2023, along with six other crossing ports in the Lake Toba area.
Ferry Boats:
- Ajibata-Tomok Route: KMP Tao Toba I/II (5 trips per day)
- Ajibata-Ambarita Route: KMP Pora-pora, KMP Kaldera Toba, and KMP Ihan Batak
Ticket Booking:
Starting from August 17, 2023, prospective passengers can book tickets online through the Ferizy application or the website https://toba.ferizy.com.
