Pantai Aek Batu is a beach located in the Pematang Sidamanik District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia. The beach is named after the story of Muller Damanik, the son of Sipolha, the late Police General who placed large boulders to break the waves on this beach.
Pantai Aek Batu is a clean and shallow beach. The beach also has a fence as a safety marker. From this beach, you can see the village of Ambarita across the way. On the left and right of the beach are many fruit trees, such as mango, kueni, and kemiri. The beach is cool thanks to the dense trees.
Campervan groups visit Pantai Aek Batu almost every weekend. The owner has even provided a special base camp for Campervan groups.
There is no entrance fee for individual visitors. Motorcycle parking is Rp 10,000, car parking is Rp 25,000. Gazebo rental is Rp 30,000 for 6 people. Free changing rooms are available. There is a canteen that provides food and drinks. There is also a stall that will provide home-cooked meals.
The owner of Pantai Aek Batu also provides a hall that can accommodate dozens of people. The Smirna Hall rental is Rp 1 million per day. Hall rental with speakers is Rp 1.5 million. This rental already includes 100 chairs for guests.

The easiest way to get to Pantai Aek Batu is by car or motorcycle. The journey from Pematang Sidamanik takes around 30 minutes. You can also take a public bus from Pematang Sidamanik to the village of Sipolha Horison, which is located near the beach. The bus ride takes around 45 minutes.
