Located in Tomok Village, Simanindo District, Samosir Regency, North Sumatra, this port is the main destination for ships sailing to Samosir Island in Lake Toba. Two types of transportation are available at Tomok Port:
- Regular transportation: Traditional wooden boats that carry passengers, offering an authentic local experience.
- Ferry: Used to cross cars, goods, and people to and from Samosir Island.
Ferry Route and Schedule:
The main ferry route from Tomok Port is to Ajibata. Two ferries serve this route: KMP Tao Toba I and KMP Tao Toba II. On weekdays, Tao Toba II is operated, while Tao Toba I only operates on certain days or peak seasons like Christmas and New Year. The ferry operates 24 hours during this period to meet the surge in demand.
